BioSTAR: Bioengineering Science, Technology, and Research
Team : Harvard Active Learning Labs
At Harvard SEAS, I co-directed the Harvard BioSTAR program, an outreach offering for Boston-area learners to engage with bioengineering topics hands-on. Each summer, 12 Boston-area high school students came to the Active Learning Labs to complete experiments in 3D cell culture, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, microfluidics, and more. With a central focus on cancer biology, the program culiminated in a student-designed experiment related to targeting the tumor microenvironment via drug-loaded nanoparticles.
